For Paradise Valley, Tafraout or the tracks behind Taghazout, the Duster is enough: high ground clearance, manual gearbox, reasonable fuel use, and €45 a day in normal season. It is the SUV we rent most, precisely because it costs little more than a saloon.

For long, comfortable drives, Marrakech, Essaouira, the desert via Ouarzazate, the Tucson or the Sportage at €60 a day bring an automatic gearbox, a real family boot and a quietness the Duster does not have. The T-Roc at €80 is for those who want a livelier compact SUV, also automatic.

Our SUVs are meant for drivable tracks: the Ameln road, access to the southern beaches, the villages inland. They are not meant for dunes or flooded riverbeds. If you are unsure about a route, send us the location on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether the car can go there.

The full coverage insurance at €6 a day covers the bodywork with no excess, on road and on track. Underbody damage and punctures on tracks stay at your expense, as with every rental company. Drive slowly on loose stones, that is the only rule.

The price shown includes unlimited mileage, basic insurance, 24/7 assistance and handover at the airport or in the agency, with no fee. It drops by 5% from 7 days and up to 20% from a month. You pay at pick-up, in cash or by card, and you can cancel free of charge at any time.

A Duster for a week comes to about €300, a Tucson to €400. For comparison, a city car for the same week costs €193. The difference is worth it if you leave the tarmac or if you are four with luggage; otherwise the city car does everything you will do on the coast.
