Long-term rental with no deposit in Morocco: how it really works
September 18, 2026 · 5 min read · tripn’Go
Zero deposit does not mean zero file. What you pay at delivery, and what reassures the rental company instead of a cheque.

In car leasing offers, the down payment reduces monthly instalments and covers the financier's risk. In long-term rental at tripn'Go, there is none. Here is what that changes in the contract and in your cash flow.
What you pay at delivery
The first month's rate, and nothing else. No security deposit, because comprehensive insurance is included in the rate and the 5,000 dirham excess is only called in case of an at-fault claim. No inflated first instalment, a common practice elsewhere that amounts to a disguised down payment. For a Renault Clio 5 over 24 months, you pay 4,920 dirhams excluding VAT on delivery day, then the same amount every month.
What replaces the down payment
The file. Without a down payment, the rental company relies on the customer's ability to pay the rate for the whole duration. Trade register, tax ID, the company's bank details and the signatory's ID. The contract is subject to file approval, with an answer within 24 hours.
Is the rate higher without a down payment?
No. The rate table is the same for everyone and it is published on the long-term page. The rate depends on the model and the commitment period, not on your file. What lowers the rate is duration: 5,820 dirhams over 12 months for a Clio 5, 4,220 over 36 months.
When no down payment matters most
- A company that is starting out and keeps its cash for the business
- A professional on assignment whose vehicle is re-invoiced to the client
- An agency or firm equipping a new hire without waiting
- A fleet that grows in steps, one vehicle at a time
In all four cases, tying up the equivalent of several months of rate upfront makes no sense. A fixed rate with no down payment does exactly what it is meant to: turn an investment into a predictable monthly expense.
